Organized by the Porto and North Local Lodging Association (ALPN), with support from the Porto City Council, Turismo do Porto e Norte, and CCDR-Norte, the event will feature more than 40 speakers and six panel discussions.
Over the course of the two days, the summit will address some of the most relevant issues for the future of short-term rentals: regulation, housing, public policy, urban renewal, sustainability, innovation, and hospitality.
The summit aims to create a space for dialogue among industry representatives, public entities, experts, and academia, fostering a joint reflection on the paths that short-term rentals may take in the coming years.
One of the highlights will be the session “Vision 2035 for Private Lodging in Portugal,” which will address perspectives and proposals for the sector’s future development.
Rather than merely discussing the current situation, the event raises a fundamental question: How do we want private lodging in Portugal to evolve over the next decade?
Holding this first national summit in the city of Porto also reinforces the region’s role in the discussion about the present and future of short-term rentals.
For those who work in the sector on a daily basis, following these types of initiatives is an opportunity to better understand the changes on the horizon, anticipate trends, and participate in a discussion that is increasingly important for the industry.
