The partnership aims to promote training and promotional initiatives for professionals in the sector, with a focus on the sustainability and competitiveness of Porto as a tourist destination.

The agreement reinforces a long-standing collaboration between the municipality and the Porto/North delegation of ALEP. According to Nuno Trigo, the association's vice-president, this protocol is the result of ongoing joint work that has enhanced LA as a qualified offer in the municipality.

Porto currently has around 10,300 LA registrations, which account for more than half of the tourist overnight stays in the city, according to Eurostat. The initiative stands out as another step towards consolidating LA as an essential pillar of sustainable urban tourism in Portugal.

At Liiiving, we enthusiastically welcome this initiative as an opportunity to continue evolving and contributing to more responsible and qualified tourism in Porto, that recognizes and values the work of those who invest in authentic local accommodation with high standards of hospitality.
